Here at West Church Cub Scout Pack we meet every Wednesday night (Sept-Dec), (Jan-Easter), (Apr-Jun) from 6:30pm-8:00pm and both boys and girls are more than welcome to attend. Our Cub Scouts get the opportunity to meet new people, work together as a team, improve communication skills, play games and learn new skills. Badge work is an important part of the Scouting movement and there are Challenge badges which include, Fitness, Global, Creative, Outdoor, Outdoor Plus, Promise and Community. Cubs also have to chance to achieve various activity badges ranging from the Animal Carer's to Swimming.
Throughout the year there are District events where each Cub Pack has the chance to compete against the others. These competitions include Orienteering, Uni Hoc, Football, Table Quiz, Canoeing and others. We encourage Cubs to take part in all activities and, where possible, all Cubs will get the chance to represent our Pack at District Level; if successful at winning the District competition they will move on to compete at County level.
